Context

Retailer A offered a made-to-measure curtain service in-store, but the online experience had minimal interaction for a genuinely high-consideration, highly configurable product — customers struggled to buy confidently without in-person guidance.

Role & Collaboration

Led the end-to-end redesign of the web and mobile experience as Product Designer, owning research and interaction design while coordinating closely with a development team on implementation and with business stakeholders on pricing and fulfillment logic.

Process

Rather than benchmarking only direct competitors, researched how other industries solve mass-customization for complex products online — including how brands like Nike and Adidas let customers build their own sneakers step by step — to inform a configuration model that breaks a complex decision into manageable stages.
